1/1 Scale Model Production
Production of a full scale model is an important step in the product development process which is conducted following the industrial design process. At this phase, a visual model or a working prototype with a functional prototype with all detailed design solutions can be produced.

Today, most of product development process can be realized in computer environment, utilizing the flexibilities of virtual domain. A full scale working prototype lets the designers and the decision makers to evaluate the functional aspects of the product in an efficient way, to reduce the need for re-design or design modifications.

What are the benefits of full scale models?
1/1 Visual Model (mockup)
A visual model is used to understand and verify the form of a product. Generally, it is produced by CNC milling or handcrafting using blocks of foam, seamless epoxy paste, wood, polyurethane and/or plastics.
1/1 Functional Working Model

Once the design details are finalized, a functional model is used for defining working characteristics, ergonomics and the efficiency of a product. Functional models are usually produced from polyurethanes, composites, metals, engineering plastics by using rapid tooling techniques that simulate the characteristics of the final product.
Scale Models (1:5, 1:10, etc.)
Scaled Models are produced for visual inspection and presentation purposes. They can be produced rapidly and illustrate general features of the design.
